Dear Supporter,

We are writing to inform you of a data security incident involving Beacon CRM, the platform we use to store supporter information and manage event registrations.
We were recently advised that Beacon CRM has experienced a potential data breach which may have affected some of the personal information held within the platform.

As an organisation, we take the security and privacy of your data extremely seriously, and we sincerely apologise for any concern or inconvenience this incident may cause.
The vast majority of records we hold in Beacon contain only basic contact details, such as: name, email address and organisation information. We would like to reassure you that Beacon CRM does not store sensitive payment information such as bank account details, credit card information, or payment card data. Donations and payments are processed securely through Stripe, PayPal, and Apple Pay. We will never phone you asking for your bank details so if you were to receive any such calls, hang up immediately and call the office on the number below.

Upon becoming aware of the incident, we took immediate steps to investigate the matter and assess any potential impact. The breach has been reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and all other relevant authorities and we are working closely with Beacon CRM to understand the full scope of the incident and any necessary protective measures.

At this stage, we recommend remaining vigilant for any unexpected communications, any unusual requests from someone posing as George’s Rockstars and exercising caution if you receive emails requesting personal information. Please contact us directly if you have any concerns.

We deeply regret that this has occurred and understand the trust you place in us to protect your information.
