Charities Unite – Charity Cot Push

Date: 6th September 2026

✨One journey. Eight charities. Countless children. One team. ✨

On Sunday 6th September, George’s mum, Amy will be taking on 19.3 miles pushing a hospital cot from Queen Alexandra Hospital to Southampton General Hospital in memory of George and in support of George’s Rockstars.

This route is one that means so much to our family. George spent huge amounts of time in both hospitals throughout his cancer treatment and it was within these walls that we experienced both the hardest days and the most extraordinary care.

Today, music therapy is helping children in these same hospitals find comfort and a way to express themselves during some of the toughest moments of their lives.

Amy will be joining seven other incredible childhood cancer charities as part of Charities Unite, raising awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and showing what can be achieved when we come together for children and their families.

Together we’ll be pushing a hospital cot 19.3 miles, representing every child facing their own hospital journey. Every step taken honours the children we’ve lost, celebrates those thriving today and brings hope to those still fighting.

Please come along and cheer us on, share our journey and help us make a difference. Your support means the world. You can sponsor George’s mum Amy here to support more music therapy sessions in George’s memory: www.justgiving.com/campaign/cotpush

Our incredible charity friends taking part are:
Sophie’s Legacy, Abby’s Heroes, Meredith’s Mission (Registered Charity 1210955), Alfie’s Wish, The Sophie Barringer Trust, The Isabel Baker Foundation, @hannahsholidayhome and George’s Rockstars.
