After many delays and set backs due to the necessary restrictions in hospital during the pandemic, our fantastic music therapist Cathy has finally been able to start at Queen Alexandra Hospital children’s department!
It’s a huge milestone for our little charity and amazing to finally see the children enjoying their music therapy sessions. Music therapy is an amazing way to help children explore and express their feelings without having to put them into words at a time that can be difficult and scary while in hospital.
But the hard work doesn’t stop here! We now look to fulfil this year’s charity mission of bringing music therapy to the children on Piam Brown Children’s Oncology ward at Southampton Children’s Hospital and hope to eventually provide music therapy in all of the children’s wards there.
We would like to thank you all for your incredible support and ask you to keep supporting us however you can, whether it’s through fundraising, joining in at events or liking and sharing posts to help us achieve this next mission. Helping Kids Rock!
